Springwood Community Activation Campaign

Springwood is a small town in the lower Blue Mountains, NSW. To help grow the local economy through business and community engagement, the Blue Mountains City Council needed to activate the Blue Mountains place brand in a campaign that felt uniquely Springwood.

Community consultation was crucial to helping us build on and express the existing Blue Mountains place brand assets in an authentic way for Springwood. With easy access both up and down the mountain, and an intergenerational community of nurturers and builders, we learned that Springwood is distinctive in terms of connection, connectivity and vibrant community rather than escape to nature and solitude.

To celebrate Springwood’s connected, inclusive approach to mountain living, we crafted a campaign and extended the place brand to elevate a sense of immersive togetherness - rather than isolation - and encourage locals to show their love to, and for, local businesses and creators. This included a new ‘LOVE Springwood’ town lockup and corner graphics, and templates for social media, sticker graphics and merch for businesses, posters and more.
