2.3 million people globally are living without basic sanitation services, and women are disproportionately affected particularly with regards to menstrual hygiene. In many countries, women are ostracised from basic activities and social situations during their periods, and even in places like the UK, USA and Australia period products are unaffordable for many people.

Three Singapore sisters set up Freedom Cups with the aim of getting reusable menstrual cups to women around the world. Operating a buy one, give one model, the brand creates a win-win situation, providing safe, quality and long-lasting period products to women in developing communities, while helping women in the developed world reduce their use of non-biodegradable pads, tampons and liners.

The cups last up to 15 years, making them a truly sustainable option for women, and an environment, in need.
